MB Construction (“we,” “us,” “our”) is a general contractor based in Concord, California. This page explains, in plain language, what information we collect through this website, how we use it, and the choices you have. We wrote it to be short and honest rather than long and vague.
The short version
We don’t track visitors to this site. We don’t use cookies, analytics, advertising pixels, social-media widgets, embedded videos or maps, or any third-party tracking technology. The only information we receive from you is what you choose to give us by calling, emailing, or sending a note through our message form.
What we collect
If you call us, we receive your phone number and whatever you tell us. If you email us or use the message form, we receive your name, your email address or phone number, and your message. The form emails your note to us, and we do not keep it anywhere else on the site. To limit spam, the server briefly keeps a scrambled (hashed) form of your network address, used only to count how many notes come from one place, and deletes it within two days. If you hire us, we collect what is needed to plan, price, and invoice your project, such as your name, the project address, and payment details.
We do not:
- use cookies or similar tracking technology on this site,
- run analytics or advertising scripts,
- build profiles of visitors or follow you around the web,
- buy, sell, or trade personal information with data brokers or advertisers.
What happens behind the scenes
In the spirit of being honest, here is every technical detail that touches your visit:
- Web hosting. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (such as IP address, date and time, the page requested, and browser type) for security and to keep the site running. We don’t use them to track you and don’t analyze them.
- No outside requests. This site’s fonts, images, and code are all served from our own server, so your browser does not contact Google or any other company just to display it. Links that take you to another site, such as the state license board, are only followed if you click them.
- Email. Messages sent to our address are delivered to the company’s email inbox, handled by our email provider, just like any email you might send us.
How we use it
We use the information you send us to respond to your inquiry and, if it goes forward, to estimate, plan, carry out, and invoice your project. We do not sell or share your information with third parties for their own marketing.
Your project information
Details of your project, including any photos we take of your space, are handled under the agreement for your project, not this website policy. This policy covers only what this website collects.
How long we keep it
We keep inquiries and project records for as long as reasonably needed to handle your request and for business and legal recordkeeping, such as estimates, contracts, and invoices. If you would like us to delete your information sooner, contact us and we will, unless we are required to keep it.
Your rights as a California resident
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), you have the right to:
- Know what personal information we hold about you
- Request that we delete it
- Request that we correct inaccurate information
- Opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information — which is moot here, since we don’t sell or share it in the first place
- Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights
To exercise any of these, contact us by phone or email and we’ll take care of it directly — no formal request process needed.
Other websites
This site links to other websites, including the California Contractors State License Board and RiverTownCA (the studio that built this site). They have their own privacy practices, which are outside the scope of this policy.
Children’s privacy
This site is not directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through it.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle information, we’ll update this page and the date at the top. Since we don’t track visitors, we can’t notify you individually — check back if you’re curious.
